Dr. Joy Bell

Dr. Bell’s passion is helping others to succeed and have a sense of worth and belonging at all levels of education. Since founding Grace Space in 2008, she has successfully helped children achieve their goals through educational consulting.
The heart of Dr. Bell’s consulting services is based on her belief that personal connection, combined with customized services that align with each child and family, allows her to provide an unmatched delivery of expert guidance and continued support.
Dr. Bell has successfully worked with diverse learning populations in private, public, and homeschool educational settings. She has advocated for children with varying learning differences and has taught in the PK-16 sector. Dr. Bell has served as a Professor of Special Education at Kennesaw State University, Head of Middle School at Legacy Christian Academy of Frisco, Head of School at Grace Academy of Dallas, Classroom Teacher, and ACSI Accreditation Commissioner.
Her professional accolades expand globally as she has traveled internationally to educate teachers on best practices for diverse learning populations and advocate for children with learning differences. At the University level, she has provided visionary leadership for undergraduate and graduate programs, served as a keynote speaker at educational conferences, and remains active in multiple academic and research-based organizations.
Dr. Bell received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education (M. ED) in Curriculum and Instruction with a Cognate in Special Education at Louisiana State University. She earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Cognate in Special Education from Louisiana Tech University.
